The J.L. King Splash Pad is located at the edge of the park, with sidewalk connections that offer easy access to children and parents in the neighboring community. It is operational throughout the sunny season. Children using the splash pad should be accompanied by an adult at all times.
SPLASH PAD RULES
All guests are expected to adhere to the posted rules and other signage around the Splash Pad. Failure to do so will result in removal from the premises.
Children using the splash pad must be under adult supervision at all times.
Use of the splash pad is at your own risk.
Running, climbing, and horseplay are prohibited.
Pets, glass, rocks, bottles, and other foreign objects are prohibited.
Skateboards, rollerblades, and bicycles are prohibited.
Alcohol and tobacco are prohibited.
Water from the splash pad is not suitable for drinking.
Do not allow children who are ill with cold or flu-like symptoms use the splash pad.
Use of the splash pad is prohibited when thunder is heard, lightning is seen, and 30 minutes past the last lightning strike. All properties owned and managed by Starkville Parks & Recreation are subject to video surveillance. In case of emergency, always dial 9-1-1.
